SURF CAMP IN SRI LANKA

SUN, SURF AND YOGA

We leave our Surf House in Cantabria for the winter. We’re going on a surf trip to Sri Lanka. Our Sri Lanka Surf Camp is designed for everybody: from those who want to learn how to surf, to those who are improving or have a more advanced level. Surf lessons will be very complete and will be accompained by video surf coaching and a theory lesson. Moreover, we count with pro-surfer Nikita Robb as one of the instructors of the Surf Camp.

SURF LESSONS

SURF HOUSE

Accommodation of 7 nights in double, triple or individual rooms; breakfast, light lunch and 5 dinners included.

YOGA

6 yoga lessons on the roof of the surfhouse. Total connection with the sea, the jungle and all its wonder.

ON THE BEACH

The Surf Camp is just in front of the shorebreak where we will surf and located at the edge of the jungle. 1 minute away from the beach.

TRANSFERS

Return airport transfers from and to Colombo airport from the Surf Camp.

SURF TRIP SRI LANKA – FREQUENT ASKED QUESTIONS

What airport do I fly to? Flights need to be booked into Colombo International airport, which is also known as Bandaranaike and Katunayake airport.

How much should I budget for food? Breakfasts and 5 dinners are included in the package price – so not much! A meal in Sri Lanka can cost from as little as 1€ for a rice or curry, while a beer with a fresh tuna steak is about 5€.

What wetsuit will I need? None! Sri Lanka is a tropical paradise where wetsuits aren’t required. We provide rash vests to offer some protection from the sun – just don’t forget your swim wear and plenty of sun cream! The surf camp also has a range of surfboards which you can try out over the week, hire is included in the price.

Do I need a VISA? Everyone traveling to Sri Lanka must have Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) for entering in to Sri Lanka. Visit www.eta.gov.lk for more information.

Do I need to get any vaccinations? efore you leave for Sri Lanka, please go and see either your local GP or travel surgery and explain where you are going, so that you can be vaccinated accordingly. It is important to do this is good time and we would suggest sorting this 3 or 4 weeks before you leave.

Who’s this trip for? The Surf House is ideal for someone who wants to learn the fundamentals of surfing, or a surfer who wants to looking to progress. We will be using a mixture of in water and classroom based coaching techniques using video analysis, surf theory and different equipment throughout the week. This isn’t a yoga retreat or a party place, but we will practice surf specific yoga every morning and we do enjoy a sunset beer..
