SURF AND YOGA

Yoga is a body and mind practice that focuses on activating, stretching and relaxing each one of our muscles of our body, making us gaining consciousness of our posture. This way, we will enjoy a full physical health, increasing our flexibility as well as our strength and avoiding injuries that could not let us do any other sport activity. Moreover, yoga and surf are complementary as yoga prevents the stiffness that long hours of surfing provoque on our body.

MEET TINA

Tina is finnish and she is based in Somo and works in Latas Surf. You will find her at the beach with her yoga mat, her surfboard and her dog. She is a Astanga-Vinyasa certified instructor and she’s always seeking to bring the joy of yoga to others.

TYPES OF YOGA

RELAX YOGA

Slow yoga aimed to restorate the soreness of the muscles after long sessions of surfing. Focusing on areas like shoulders, hips and lower back that often get tight while surfing. This class will help your muscles to recover faster so you can be back catching waves again at your full capacity.

POWER YOGA FOR SURFERS

Surfing requires flexibily, balance and strenght. Strong arms, abs and legs but also a steady mind and self confidence. And that is what this yoga style is about: activating and strenghtening the right muscles so you can boost your surfing and stay longer in the water. You will improe you paddle movement and be able to focus more while surfing.

ACTIVE YOGA (VINYASA FLOW)

Challenge yourself and boos your energy. This yoga class is a dynamic and playful yoga session aimed at improving your mobility, strength and balance from a new perspective. This dynamic practice will leave you energized and will help you to go beyond your limits on a yoga mat.

MORNING FLOW

Wake up and activate your body, prepare yourself to enjoy the day and make the most out of it. This gently morning class is a great way to make sure your day flows without coffee! We’ll focus on lengthening the spine and back, opening and releasing the tension of your neck and shoulders. You will start the day with a refreshed energy that will make you flow for the rest of it.

LESSONS SCHEDULE

  • Lessons start at 7:30am or 19pm. All levels welcome!
  • Where: Calle Arna 131, 39140 (Latas Surf House)
  • Duration: 60 – 75 min
  • Language: English
