WHY A MASSAGE IS GOOD AFTER SURFING?
Massages are essential in people who practice surf because it helps you relax and relieve stressed areas. Most of all, neck and back.
Surfing is a very intense sport for the body. Long hours paddling against the waves and standing up cause muscles to go rigid, increasing the possibility of suffering blockages contractions.
Not only this influences in a negative way in our health but also prevent us from performing our best while we’re on the waves.
A more relaxed and relieved body will suffer less stress and will accumulate less fatigue. This way you will be able to surf many more times and for longer periods while improving your technique.
Omar is the official massagist and physiotherpist of Latas Surf this 2020.
Omar graduated in physioteraphy in Italy this year and he’s been travelling around the world during the last 10 years..
During this period of time he’s enjoyed different cultures and he’s been catching waves in different beaches around the planet. He’s also been educating himself, adding knowledge and different massage styles to his range of services.
At Latas Surf, Omar is going to offer a sport massage focused on those muscles to intervene in surfing.
He will offer pre surf and post surf types of massage, focused on warming up or relaxing your muscles.
You will find him at Latas Surf Camp facilities, and you’re able to ask him about all types of massage that he offers. He will advise you what’s best for you so your body can perform at its best on the waves.
